*Ube and pandan are popular ingredients in Filipino desserts. Ube is a purple yam with a subtle, sweet flavor. Pandan is a tropical plant whose sweet flavor is a mix of coconut, citrus, and nut.

** Calamansi is a citrus fruit similar to lemon and lime. It is also known as the “Philippine lime.”
